It was back in 1992, when Scotty Cameron and his wife Kathy, set up business with the intention of making the world's greatest putters. Just one year later, it became clear that they were doing something right, as a Scotty Cameron Putter was used to win The Masters that year. The player using it, none other than Bernhard Langer.
The following year, Scotty was approached by Titleist and a relationship was formed, one that would stand the test of time and produce some of the most sought after putters and golfing accessories ever seen.
One of the most popular accessories to come out of the Scotty Cameron design studio is the headcover. Featuring some fantastic and original patterns and colors, one of the most celebrated designs was that of the Scotty Cameron Dog. If there is one dog that is a great match for this brand, then it has to be the Scotty dog and the Scotty Cameron Dog was born.
The Scotty Cameron Dog featured on a number of headcovers, some of which were produced especially to coincide with a big golf event, such as The Masters. For example, 2007 saw the limited production of a Masters Scotty Cameron Dog headcover and it featured the three colours closely related to The Masters, green, yellow and white. It's not only for the major golf tournaments that Scotty Cameron produced these great headcovers. Other events were also treated to the Scotty Cameron Dog headover treatment, such as St Patrick's Day and Mardi Gras.
