When asked to review the Dawgs Golf Spirits I admit a bit of skepticism. Would these shoes hold up on a golf course? Were they comfortable? Socks or no socks?
Thanks to our good friends from Dawgs who let us try out their three golf style shoes. First I tried the Men's Spirits. I liked how they had holes for breath-ability and a nice Velcro strap to ensure a secure fit.
I walked an 18-hole round and found them extremely comfortable. I played with and without socks, and thought they performed equally.
Dawgs also has an Ultralight model which provides a little more support and the option to insert your own Orthotic insoles.
The third model is a completely different look, a canvas slip on with the popular "rubber nub" grips. More and more golfers are switching to a more casual looking shoe that offers the same grip as the traditional golf shoe. With these you do not have to worry about changing into your golf shoes once you pull up to the course. These things can go straight from the 18th green into the clubhouse for the 19th hole drink.
